A real highlight this month — we hosted Bob Ferguson from Fairfield, Iowa at Les Cotils for an Innovate Guernsey speaker event on 22 June. There’s something valuable about bringing in a perspective from somewhere with a completely different economic model and asking what, if anything, transfers. Guernsey doesn’t need to copy anyone, but it should absolutely be listening.
It continues to strike me how much of Innovate Guernsey’s value comes from exactly this kind of cross-pollination — sitting alongside the more structural work of governance and funding models that doesn’t always make for good headlines but matters just as much.
